DW SM2159 Snare Drum Strainer

The DW SM2159 contains a MAG throw-off and the matching 3-position butt plate. The SM2157 is a purposefully simple design, the MAG is a workhorse drop throw-off with a horizontal tension adjustment and smooth, easily adjustable action. It gets its name from a clever magnet that's intergrated into the body of the throw-off. When the handle is in the up position, it won't release without a slight tug.

The innovative new 3P, three-position butt plate allows drummers to easily select three distinct preselected snare wire tension settings at the touch of a lever. It can be combined with just about any brand snare throw-off and snare drum.

Comes complete with a gasket and all the mounting hardware. Hole patten also fits DW delta throw-off.

Can be retro-fitted to other snare drums (some drilling may be required)
