The YCL-255 combines state-of-the-art production expertise with high-end Yamaha clarinet features. The result is an outstanding entry-level instrument that delivers a warm, resonant tone that is remarkably similar to that of a wood clarinet. It features an ABS resin body with a matte finish that imitates that of a wood clarinet and an adjustable thumb-rest with a neck strap ring that allows for even those with small hands to easily hold the instrument.

New adjustable thumb-rest and strap ring

A new adjustable thumb-rest accommodates different sized hands helping the player develop proper playing technique. In addition, a strap ring allows for the instrument to be held without extra effort. Firmer screws and silver soldered ring gives this new feature excellent durability.

Newly redesigned bell

A new bell made only of solid and durable ABS resin plastic results in a lighter instrument with improved response. A resonance chamber in the bell aids in projection and improves intonation in lower notes.

 General 
The new panel design, paired with a high-resolution color display enhances ease of use. Sound selection, settings and performance controls are easily accessible for a quick and intuitive workflow.

All Electro 7 models feature Physical Drawbars with LED indicators for both visual and tactile feedback and hands-on experience.

The Electro 7 73 model features Pitch Stick and Modulation Wheel for additional real time control.

 Organ Section 
The Organ Section is based on the Nord Organ 3 engine and features stunning recreations of classic tonewheel, transistor, and pipe organs as well as the latest generation of our acclaimed Rotary Speaker emulation with multiple microphone perspectives.

 Piano Section 
The Nord Electro 7 contains a large selection of Grands, Uprights and Electric Pianos from the exclusive Nord Piano Library along with new features such as Dynamic Compression, Unison and Timbre. Our state-of-the-art sampling technique captures the extraordinary nuances and real character of the source instruments.

 Synth Section 
A brand new Synth Section features Analog Waveforms and FM synthesis combined with high-quality Samples from the Nord Sample Library. The FM synth features a collection of classic FM presets with extensive options for further editing and sound shaping. The Synth Section includes Low-Pass Filter with resonance and dual ADR envelopes for Amp and Filter/FM Amount as well as Mono, Legato and Glide modes for expressive performance control.

 Effect Section 
The Nord Electro 7 has an expanded new Effects section per Layer. The wide range of Effects includes brand new types of Reverb, Delay, Amps and Modulation effects.
