Perfectly suited for use with DZR speakers, the DXS18XLF is a bass-reflex amplified subwoofer with extended low frequency, producing a maximum SPL of 136dB, with excellent definition and power.
The internal D-XSUB FL processing offers full management of the lowest frequencies, with NORMAL mode set for an ideally balanced low-frequency response, while BOOST mode delivers tighter, more focused bass sounds with extra punch. XTENDED LF mode further defines the low frequencies for a thunderous bass sound that delivers a low-frequency extension never before heard in a speaker of this size. Normally, the higher the output, the more difficult it is to manage the direction of the low-frequency energy, and significant levels of side-stage sound pressure can seriously sabotage the monition, but with DXS XLF configurations of two or more subwoofers, by selecting Cardioid mode, the sound pressure on stage is effectively reduced, while the bass output against the audience is increased, resulting in a much cleaner stage monition environment. No doubt your full-range DZR system will reach new levels of performance when used with the powerful DXS XLF active subwoofers.
