LP M263A Matador 7" Bongo Head

The stated head sizes fit the effective crown diameter (the biggest shell diameter of bongos and djembes). This was done to harmonize the sizes of REMO and LP congas.

For LP bongos with 5 1/2", 7 1/4" and 8 5/8" choose the respective 5 1/4", 7" and 8,5" heads.

The hoop determines the outer diameter of the head, the size determines the crown diameter of the bearing edge.

Independent of the hoop type, LP Bongo heads of the same shell size also have the same outer diameter.
