A 70's Classic Returns

First released in 1969, the Deluxe saw the introduction of the mini humbucker™ to the Les Paul lineup. Mini humbuckers retain the hum-free performance of their full-sized cousins but with a somewhat clearer and brighter tonality. The new Deluxe has features that were inspired by those early models from the 1970s, with a non-weight relief mahogany body and bound maple top, a bound mahogany neck with a Rounded C profile, vintage-style Keystone tuners, Graph Tech® nut, and a traditional Les Paul control layout with 2 Volume and 2 Tone controls wired with Orange Drop® capacitors.

About
Gibson Les Paul 70s Deluxe Cherry Sunburst
Les Paul, traditionally built
For the Les Paul '70s Deluxe, Gibson relies on the construction method established since 1952, which promises powerful sound. While the solid weightless mahogany body carries the typical maple top, the mahogany neck is glued and fitted with a 22-finger rosewood plank. With the not too strong profile of the Rounded-C neck, the electric guitar still offers comfortable playing characteristics.
Gibson Mini Humbucker
As an authentic remake of the '70s, the Gibson Les Paul '70s Deluxe comes naturally with two Mini Humbuckers in cream-colored bezels. Due to the narrower magnetic field compared to standard humbuckers, the pickups produce a particularly bright sound that evokes characteristic, assertive sounds, clean and with a superdrive guitar amp sound. A handy wired circuit with Orange Drop capacitors ensures total control over the sound color.
Traditional Hardware
Last but not least, a traditional hardware configuration completes the Gibson Les Paul '70s Deluxe '70s Cherry Sunburst. From the aluminum stop bar, the strings are routed over a Tune-O-Matic bridge, which guarantees optimal intonation and an adjustment of the string action. Behind the Graph Tech nut, classic vintage-style tuners with keystone wings also ensure accurate and stable guitar tuning.
