Epiphone presents the Electar inspired by "Century Lap Steel Outfit" from 1939, a unique re-release of the Hawaiian lap steel guitar in Art Deco style. Like the vintage original, the 1939 Electar Century Lap Steel has a one-piece mahogany body and an ebony finish neck. For non-slip support, there is also a rubber cover on the back.
The fretboard is equipped with plexiglas and 28 frets to ensure a clean intonation in every register. A rotary potentiometer is available for individual adjustment of volume and sound.
The headstock gets the vintage metal Epiphone badge used on Epiphone's earliest electric archtops from the 40s through the introduction of the Epiphone Casino in 1961! The 2.5" aluminum nut is raised slide and the WilkinsonTM "Deluxe" 3-in-Line machine heads have ivory colored buttons.
